El presidente ejecutivo de TFO, Xavier Sunyer, considera que la FTTH es un paso importante que podría colaborar a superar los períodos de crisis. "Las redes de fibra óptica hasta el hogar se han utilizado en muchos países como motor para salir de la crisis", explicaba Sunyer. En el caso español, el presidente de TFO cree que en despliegue de redes llevamos un "retraso importante", y eso tiene ciertas consecuencias: "como resultado tenemos una de las velocidades más bajas de Europa y pagamos unos precios muy altos".

TFO's CEO, Xavier Sunyer, thinks that FTTH is an important improvement that should be usefull to exit the crisis. "Optical fiber to the home networks were taken in many countries as a way to exit the crisis", said Sunyer. In Spanish context, TFO's CEO believe that Spain has "several years of delay" in development of FTTH, and as a result "we have one of the lowest speed connection and higher prices".

El gerente de TFO Costa Rica, Víctor Hernández, tiene claro el papel de la empresa en el país centroamericano: "Hemos venido a llenar el vacío en el mercado de las telecomunicaciones, en el desarrollo de proyectos integrales de despliegue de redes de fibra óptica". Hernández, que cree que el ancho de banda "es el futuro", coordina el proyecto de Cartago, un despliegue que considera que "cambia la dinámica de la provincia y además reactiva su economía".

TFO Costa Rica's manager, Víctor Hernández, is clear about the business rol of his company in Central American country: "We have come to fill de void in the telecommunication market, depeloping integral deployments of fiber optic networks". Hernández, who believes that broadband is "the future", coordinates the project in Cartago, a deployment that he thinks it "will change the dynamics of the province and also reactivates its economy".

En efecto, TFO Maroc se ha hecho un hueco en el mercado marroquí y El Ghoumari está seguro que "TFO Maroc es líder en fibra óptica, pero hay que trabajar duro para conservar esa posición".

El gerente de TFO España, Rafael Muñoz, cuenta que la explosión empresarial se produjo en cuanto "vimos que habría una necesidad de ancho de banda y empezamos a diseñar productos para redes FTTH". Muñoz no conoce la solución concreta para desatascar el sector de las telecomunicaciones en España, pero tiene una opinión muy concreta. "No hay fórmulas mágicas, pero lo que ha funcionado en otros países es que el gobierno regule...", explicaba el gerente español.
